Negotiate Property Preservation Discount Rates

The standard discount rate for property preservation is 20%. But, there are exceptions. When you have to travel further on a job, you need to negotiate a lower discount rate for that job. I have negotiated discount rates to ZERO when tasks were out of my normal service area.

Create WIN-WIN situations. You need to negotiate a lower discount rate as your expenses will increase for out of area tasks. Your customer needs to get the job done and they can’t spend the whole day searching for someone to do it at a price where the property preservation specialist will lose money. They will find no takers.
