I spoke to a field inspector who called today and said she was looking to grow their business. Business was slow. She knew of another inspector in the area who was doing quite well and she mentioned her name. I said I knew the other inspector and remarked that she was doing quite well as she had a National Field Service Directory, a great SOFI-designed resume, some extra classroom training and that she advertised with SOFI.
The calling inspector said that she did not like the other inspector and that she would not step on the brakes if the inspector stepped in front of her car. Yes, you can kill the competition by running them over with your car, but you will also go to prison for a long time.
The best way to take care of the competition is with a great marketing plan and great field performance. Let SOFI help you with growing your business. There is probably room in this market area for both of these field inspectors. Killing the competition with your car is not the best way to eliminate the competition.
