Listing The Firms On Your Resume For Which You Work Is NOT A Good Idea!

Resumes are important. If you have some field service experience, be sure to describe the experience in your resume. Do NOT list the names of field service firms. I saw one resume posted online for everyone to see where the field inspector listed company names, a point of contact and a telephone number. Why would anyone want the competition to contact all of their customers and ask for work? Do not include such information on a resume that is posted online at a public website. Also, listing firms on your resume may make hiring firms think that you are too busy and have no time to perform their work.
