Brooklyn has some rough neighborhoods. I learned this week that a $4 mortgage inspector performing drive-by mortgage inspections became a victim of gun violence. A shooter put 10 bullet holes in his car as he was driving. He was not injured, but it sure scared the hell out of him. That’s what you can expect when running around the bad neighborhoods. He is still performing $4 mortgage inspections. Maybe this incident was just a one in a million event. Or, maybe not. They shot and missed this time. But, maybe they will get lucky the next time. Maybe next time the car will be stopped. Maybe the shooter will be closer to the car. Maybe the shooter will not miss the next time. Maybe it’s time for this inspector to purchase some Kevlar body armor and hope that he doesn’t get shot in the face?
