The People of Illinois have filed a legal action against Safeguard Properties. The Illinois Attorney General said this week that “This company was illegally breaking in to people’s homes, removing all their possessions and locking them out. It is a homeowner’s worst nightmare.” We also learned from Foreclosurepedia.org that another of the large national mortgage field service firms is staffed with a few felons. And, to top it all off, Foreclosurepedia.org also reported that some of the subcontractors of the large national mortgage field service firms are felons … felons who are not paying property preservation specialists in the field.
What a week! The mortgage segment is the home of low-fee mortgage inspections and 99% of all of the problems in the field services industry. The mortgage segment is out of control. The big banks and the Government have no control of the large national and regional mortgage field servicers. It’s crazy in the mortgage segment. It’s been a bad week in the mortgage segment. But, then again, almost every week is a bad week in the mortgage segment.
It seems that everyone I talk to is so pissed off at the large national and regional mortgage field service firms. They pay the lowest fees in the industry and there is no respect or trust for the field service representative. The mortgage segment of the industry is so out of control … there is no leadership in the mortgage segment.
