In the field services industry, the odds are about 5 to 1 that you will be hired by a woman recruiter. Let’s face it, there are more women recruiters than men recruiters on the staff at many field service firms. I also believe that women field inspectors have an advantage over men field service inspectors when a woman makes the hiring decision. Get the name (find on the web site or call) of the recruiter in the hiring firm and tailor your resume to them. If you are a pretty woman, you may want to leave your photo off of your resume when the recruiter is female. Leave it on for male recruiters.
Perhaps you need to play the odds and design your resume to get the attention of women recruiters. Maybe you need two resumes … one to get the attention of men recruiters and one to get the attention of women recruiters. Alternate the resumes you send out and see which one brings the best results. Send several designs of resumes and find out what works.
Let SOFI design your resume.
