This is great news for currently working field service inspectors. There are now fewer new entry inspectors that create competition. Expect inspection prices to increase in 2014 with more increases in 2015. Ask for higher inspection fees and you will have good results. Avoid the low-fee jobs posted on Craig’s List and at Yahoo Groups. Avoid the mortgage segment … the home of low fee inspections and 99% of all of the fraud and problems in the field services industry. Smile … the industry is on an upswing. Commercial inspections will be the sweet spot.
