My first impression of Dr. Ben Carson in his new position as Secretary of HUD is that he will bring needed change to HUD. Sometimes you need an outsider to make real change.
Speaking at this year’s Essence Festival on July 3, 2017 in New Orleans, Maxine Waters said about Carson that “He needs to go back to the hospital, back to the operating room. If he thinks, when he comes before [the House Committee on Financial Services], where I am the ranking member… and thinks that I am going to give him a pass, I am going to take his ass apart.”
