One of the most favorite commercial inspections is the business verification which takes about 10 minutes on site and pays about $35 – $40 for a simple one page report and about three photos. The $3 mortgage inspections are like baby aspirin and they often require 7 photos.

I have not worked this week, because I refuse to accept less than reasonable compensation for my efforts. Too many companies are paying the same fees they paid five years ago while their income increases on the backs of desperate field inspection persons that accept low fees at the expense of a highly competitive industry that has no allegiance to their contractors that are reflective of “the chicken or egg syndrome”. We must stand together in sacrificial solidarity in an attempt to be properly compensated for our time, travel, and business expenses. We don’t need more tax deductions! We need more income!
