What Happened To Bank Of America Field Services?

bhI subscribe to the Black Hole theory. They were there … visible for a short time during the transition … and now they are gone. What can you tell me happened? Is there any part of Bank of America Field services still around?

  1. The sale was designed to mainly go to Safeguard with portions transferring over earlier this year until everything was complete – which it should be by now. Safeguard didn’t pick up literally all of it; some parts were sold off to others like ABS, MSI, Spectrum, etc.

Depending on where you were in the chain you either still kept your job (if you were with a vendor who has BAC/SPI as a client), or probably lost it (if you worked directly with BAC-FS in a center or as a Field Rep. which BTW paid a lot more then working through a vendor).

All I can say is my vendor was with SPI for a few brief months – they ditched SPI because of how demanding/silly it was working with them (3-day turn-around on virtually all orders, pic requirements were 4 occ, 10 vacant/exterior, 26 vacant/interior and I don’t think they were either accepting much or countering/low-balling preservation/clean out bids) I’m sure amongst other things. While it was a very large portion of total orders in the company, sometimes the aggravation isn’t worth it. I agree, even though I took a nice hit like everyone else.

I’m kind of wondering who picked them up…I still drive by a lot of properties I used to do as BAC/SPI and while they still sit vacant (no surprise) or occupied (again, no surprise), at least on the vacancies doesn’t look like much is being done to many of them lawn-wise or cleanout-wise. (I had heard some things earlier this year right around the transition completing that SPI wasn’t ordering so much as clean outs in areas, and I barely managed to see any winterizations done on the ones I did).

The circle continues….hey pass some of that paper over here so I can flip these places…lol.
