When you negotiate higher fees for inspections or property preservation tasks, always get the agreement in writing. You want a meeting of the minds and you want all of the terms of the agreement documented in a writing. If a firm sends you work that is already late, be sure to get a written statement when says the deadline has been extended and a new deadline has been set. Don’t work for firms that will not put an agreement in writing.
