Insurance Loss Draft Inspections Paid $10 About 20 Years Ago

My living expenses have increased significantly in the last 20 years, But, insurance loss draft inspections, which usually require an appointment, still average about $10 in 2013. These inspections paid $10 in 1992 and photos paid $1.50 each. Today, the same inspection pays $10 and the photos are FREE. What is wrong with this? These national mortgage field service firms are ripping us off big time. These inspections should pay a minimum of $25. These inspections today are WIN-LOSE inspections … they WIN and we LOSE.

  1. I do not disagree with this. They are generally dropped on me quite suddenly, often on a Friday evening and I am expected, nay, REQUIRED to make contact with a homeowner within 24 hours to set up an appointment for a day I haven’t even scheduled yet. I have no idea where I will be and what time I will be there yet. So while I understand that this is part of the job, it is very time-consuming, a bit stressful, and there’s a huge hassle factor here. $10 is the LEAST you could pay me, You could do 2 interior vacant inspections for most companies in the same time with no appointment necessary and make almost 50% more.
