About Background Checks

Background checks are becoming more common in the field services industry. The Small Business Administration (SBA) says that there are more than 27.5 million businesses in the US. What is very uncommon is for a job applicant to pay for a background check. In the whole world of business in the US, about 99.5% of all businesses DO NOT require a job applicant to pay for a background check.

In all of my years, I have been background checked many times. I have also been polygraphed by the National Security Agency (NSA). I have never paid for a background check. I would never work for any firm that required me to pay for a background check. In the whole world of business in the US, about 99.5% of all businesses DO NOT require a job applicant to pay for a background check. Why would you want to be the oddball and pay for a background check?
