I am a Notary and new to the Field Inspection business. I was approached in an email about signing up with a company & directed to their website. I was excited to sign up however a little shocked that they required my social security, car ins policy ect… If you are a private contractor, is it standard for these Insurance company’s to request this?

It’s very common for a hiring firm to ask for proof of auto insurance. See the blog on here about social security numbers. They can’t pay you without some sort of taxpayer identification. I have an LLC and use my TIN or EIN instead of my social security number.
