When The Pay Stops … Your Work Stops

Deep_hole_142011

Don’t be stupid. Don’t continue to work for a firm that has stopped paying you. It just makes no sense. All you are doing is digging a deeper hole. The firm is not paying you because they have no money. They are deadbeats. They will not answer their phone, but they keep sending you work. You are a patsy and they know it. They have mismanaged their finances. They continue to pay their bills while you don’t. They don’t really give a #&@*@ about you. The sooner you figure that out, the better off you will be. Don’t dig a deeper hole and waste your time. Stop work and use your energy to find some better firms and collect what you are owed.

  1. I have learned a very hard lesson, there are so many companies out here that are not paying you for all the hard work you perform on their properties. Something has to be done to keep them from doing this. There needs to be a list compiled of this companies and no one should work for them.

  2. Too many companies to do such. I am fighting in the same boat right now. Or if paid, they are VERY slow (2-3 months after work is done). Too many daisy chains/hands in the jar. Take all that crap out of the system and our UE rate in this country would be 12%+ easy. Of course that would be the reported rate. Which means the U-6 would be around 20%.
