A Florida inspector was ordered by a mortgage field services firm to tape a collection letter to the call box or gate when he was unable to enter a community because he could not gain access.
His customer manager said it was okay to just leave the letter taped to the call box or gate … the bank said it was okay. He quit the firm.
Don’t let a customer talk you into performing illegal acts or any other act that would violate the privacy of a homeowner. Some of the managers in the mortgage segment have no training, experience or common sense. Don’t become a victim of their ignorance of privacy regulations and laws.
