This blog post may be addressed to you. Or, maybe not. You decide.
Who brushed your teeth this morning? I talk to inspectors or want-to-be inspectors who just cannot help themselves. I wonder who brushed their teeth in the morning. They have serious problems using computers and the Internet. And, they don’t even try to learn how to use their computer and the Internet. They expect others to teach them and solve all of their problems. They don’t know how to use a search engine, add an attachment to an email, find an attachment on an email, upload files or photos, and download files or photos. They are so many computer and Internet training guides available at the local library and online at Amazon.com. There is no excuse for not learning about computers and the Internet. Yet, they refuse to try to learn. They refuse to learn anything new.
Hiring firms hate it when you ask them questions about basic computer and basic Internet features. They will probably not hire you as an inspector or continue to use you as an inspector if you have weak computer or internet skills. They will not help you find a file on your computer or remove a virus from your computer.
The field services industry is NOT for everyone.
