Take Some Time Off If You Are Non-Essential

Yes, there are some great benefits when you are non-essential.

I am going to work as little as possible while the Government is shut down. Yesterday afternoon I spent some time alongside the Indian River across from Melbourne reading a library book on the Mountain Lion operating system. In the afternoon I went to the beach at Indialantic (barrier island near Melbourne) and talked to others on the beach not affected by the Government shutdown. I watched the waves roll in on the beach and had a large cup of Cold Stone Creamery ice cream (Founder’s Favorite).

It’s sad that the President and the Congress have not formed a budget in the last six years. I will just ignore their inaction and lead my life the best I can.

I am a non-essential part of the universe and I am loving it. I am more than 800 miles from Washington, DC and loving it in the land of paradise.
