Drone Pilots Starting At $100,000 Plus

As a Naval Flight Officer in the Navy for 20 years, I flew a lot of jet aircraft from the front right or the back seat. I also flew as a civilian pilot. I have a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical  Systems. I also flew as mission commander on many airborne OUTLAW SHARK missions in the Mediterranean Sea that developed the tactical data system employed in the Navy’s over-the horizon targeting and coordination systems.

CNN is reporting that Amazon and Facebook are hiring drone pilots at $100,000 plus (about $50 an hour). How hard can it be to pilot a drone? Simply charge the battery on your drone and take it with you to your interview with Amazon and Facebook. Fly it around the campus.

At the University of North Dakota, most of the first 61 drone pilots who graduated have gone to work at major drone manufactures, such as Northrup Grumman (NOC), Lockheed Martin (LMT), General Atomics and Boeing (BA).
