ATTENTION Field Inspectors: Vicious Dogs & People Can Hurt Or Kill You

Yes, Alice field service inspectors have been attacked by vicious dogs. Many won’t talk about it. I talked to one field service inspector who was attacked by a dog while performing an insurance inspection. The overhead garage door was open about 18-inches at the bottom. A dog in the garage on a leash attacked the inspector as he walked by the door. The dog crushed bones and tore large chunks of flesh from the wrist and hand of the inspector. The inspector had multiple surgeries and did not work for six months.

Stay out of bad neighborhoods … the home of bad people and bad dogs.

I have a concealed weapons permit and I like to carry a 20-inch telescoping baton as protection against dogs and people. I can carry it concealed in the palm on my hand and I can quickly snap it open. Be sure to check the laws of your state on carrying a baton or other concealed weapon. Another more-friendly device to protect against dogs is shown in the video below. There are many more helpful videos at YouTube.

HOUSTON — A woman was viciously attacked by a pair of pit bulls two months ago on a Houston bike trail. Monica Garza was on the Southbelt hike and bike trail in southeast Harris County, when two dogs tried to tear her apart. The dogs had ripped all the clothes off of her body down to her running bra and half a pair of running pants. She had 350 staples and 54 lacerations and bite marks throughout her body and two skin grafts. She was hospitalized for 37 days. She has physical therapy three times a week learning to do the simplest things again.
