1996 Ford Escort wagon w/stick. Depreciation be almost nil w/176,000. Repair costs up but no payments for say 14 years which buys lots of petroleum. Insurance in Philly high [Phila lawyers].
No collision coverage for like 10 years. Would suggest a 10+year old stick, Escort/Tracer/Corolla/Matrix and a whole slew of others. Not fashionable but cheap to repair [never w auto tranny] and if it dies shop around and find another, Basically throw away Xport.
