What applications are you using for multi-stop GPS navigation? Are you using a GPS like Garmin or navigation applications such as Streets & Trips 2013 on a laptop or Copilot on a tablet or smartphone. What is working for you? How do you handle the routing of multi-stop inspections?
I use Streets and Maps at my computer to map out the multiple addresses and provide a paper back up for the day, and a Garmin brand GPS in my car to set each address. This works just fine for me!!

I still use Microsoft Streets & Trips and I also drive a Prius with a built-in GPS.
I bought Delorme Atlas 2014 last fall but I did not use it yet, it is hard to understand and their customer service was absolutely not helpful when I called them, they said go to the website and you’ll find all the information there so I do not recommend them….
I checked in BestBuy and they have some Garmin products that you can enter many stops and they are supposed to be easy to use and some models come with lifetime update.
I am curious to see the info. that you’ll get from other people.
Microsoft Streets and Trips on the desktop is the way to go, you can import CSV files from excel, plot and optimize your route, change push pin color or design. Print out your directions as backup if needed. I do an average of 15-20 stops per day in SOCAL and have been using this full-time for the past 8 years. I also drive a Prius C with a built-in GPS. I have a hard copy single page for each of my stops which is arranged (optimized) by ST. For those of you that don’t use ST, optimization is telling ST your beginning address and then your ending address, you hit the optimize button and it will put all your addresses in a logical route. I then input the address into my GPS, and actually, I speak it into my GPS which is a further time saver versus inputting. I frequent remote locations so I have the GPS, printed directions from ST and my phone for any new developments which may not map on ST or maybe the GPS cannot locate. Can’t make any $ driving around, aimlessly looking for an address or driving a route that is not optimized. In this business to make $ you need to be highly organized, professional, have several good reliable clients that supply you with steady work. Fuel will be your biggest expense.
I export route files to Microsoft Streets & Trips. I optimize my 30-50 stops. I then export them to as a GPX. Lastly I upload the GPX file to my Garmin GPS.
I think most people are using Microsoft Streets and Trips. That being said, since Microsoft has decided to discontinue the $60 Streets & Trips and $400+ Mappoint the only comparable software I’ve found for 50+ multiple stops requires a monthly fee. Although there is a buzz in the industry about this, I feel this could be a huge issue. I’ve yet to find a replacement, I hope someone finds/develops a program for our industry.
