Watch Out Barbara … Bad Girl … Elder Abuse In Texas Is A Felony

Elder abuse in Texas includes physical abuse, mental abuse and emotional abuse. Under Texas law, elder abuse is defined as any form of sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, exploitation (including financial exploitation) or neglect on a person age 65 years or older.

In Texas, the exploitation of a senior citizen constitutes a felony in the third degree.

Hiring a senior field service inspector and then not paying them is the financial exploitation of a senior. If you are a senior field service inspector being financially exploited by a Texas inspector, call the Texas Attorney General at (512) 463-2100 and explain your situation.
