I met Major Julie Moore at a 2014 airshow in Melbourne, Florida. An accomplished fighter pilot, Major Moore spent 12 years of distinguished active duty in the U.S. Air Force, where she flew the $30 million F-16 fighter jet.
As a Naval Flight Officer and civilian pilot myself, I understand what is required to become an F-16 fighter pilot. In 2013, Julie was hired as an assistant professor in Florida Tech’s (FIT) College of Aeronautics. She teaches a variety of upper-level classes at the college, including courses on unmanned aerial systems, advanced aircraft systems, aeronautics and air traffic control. I have a MS in Aeronautical Systems and I am an MBA graduate from Florida Institute of Technology (FIT).
Women work as field service inspectors. They perform a great job. They can take on assignments such as commercial insurance loss control inspections and they perform very well. Women can do anything they set their mind to do.
Good for her- I also was in that field with the US Air Force reserve during Vietnam error- and we did not have woman with us as I remember then- and I also love flying although the skies are more crowded now- we who love the feeling can find away to enjoy the sensation even at 79 years young-
