Regular gas is about $2.32 a gallon here in Clermont, Florida at the RaceTrac … about the cheapest in town. This weekend, Publix offers a $50 RaceTrac card for $40 with a $50 purchase of groceries. Dorann and I will go shopping together and purchase $100+ in groceries and pick up two of the gas cards.
That will reduce the actual price of the gas to $1.86 … a very good price. I am also driving a Prius 2 that gets 52 MPG. I can drive the 1,050 miles from Washington, DC to Miami, Florida for a total cost of about 38 and I only need to make one stop to refill the small tank.
