Hybrid Cars Like The Toyota Prius Can Be Great For Field Services

The Toyota Prius is a great car for field services. Shown is a 2017 Prius. I have a 2014 Prius 2. I average 52 MPG. I was at Publix today waiting for Dorann as she did some grocery shopping. The outside temperature in Clermont, Florida was 80 degrees. I was able run the air conditioner on battery only for 11 minutes as I sat in the car. I use Publix RaceTrac discount gas cards and reduce my gas price to $1.86 per gallon. A synthetic 10,000 mile oil change at the Toyota dealer was $49.95.

Are you driving a hybrid for field services?

  1. Yes, I had 2013 Toyota Prius hybrid. Excellent gas mileage , just recently got the 2017 Honda Accord hybrid

  2. I have a 2008 Prius with 340,000 miles. Great gas mileage and no major repairs other than a catalytic converter at 200,000 miles and the auxiliary battery (for starting only) which I installed myself. Still have the original brakes as the electric motors do most of the braking. Will buy another one of this one ever dies.
