It’s Shark Week … Don’t Act Like A Seal

Sunday is the start of Shark Week where television viewers see White Sharks flying through the air and eating seals. I love Shark Week. The world of business has some sharks, so you always need to be on your guard. Don’t look or act like a seal. A shark can recognize an easy target. Don’t look and act like an easy target or you will be eaten … not a very pleasant experience. Always ask for references from hiring field service firms and call them. If the firm will not provide any references it is because the firm is a shark. They will find a reason for not providing references. Check them out at the Better Business Bureau. Network with other field service representatives and ask them what they know about the firm. The word gets around very fast on the field service firms that are sharks. Treat every week as Shark Week. Recognize that there are sharks in every business industry. There are sharks in the field services industry. Learn shark behavior and tactics and you will not get eaten. Happy Shark Week!
